0115 Daily Tasks/Shared Living

At MyAdvancedCare, we understand how important it is that the disabled learn how to live with a sense of independence. Sometimes this is in their own home or could involve sharing a home with another disabled person.

We also teach them the daily tasks they need to do to live without assistance. This includes:

One to one assistance with a carer

Assisting with daily tasks for independent living

Support for self care, accommodation, and activities in a residency

Providing short term residency

Arranging residency for transitioning to live independently

All of this works together to give the disabled person a sense of security on their own. They can take charge of their lives and make their own decisions. They discover how to embrace living on their own and finally experience real freedom in life. And their families are relieved of the caring tasks that can be overwhelming.

Understanding how to care for themselves is a big transition for many disabled people who have become used to relying on family members. But once the transition is complete, they realise what a great change it makes in their lives. No longer are they dependent on other people. Instead, they can perform all kinds of tasks and errands and finally discover what true independence is in our world.

This allows them to take charge of their own lives and integrate into the greater community. In this way it helps move their lives forward and become the type of person that they want to be. While it may be tough at first, by the time they are done they experience life to a more satisfying degree and understand what true freedom is.

The result is better for them, for their families, and for the greater community. We provide these living options and life skills because it makes a real difference in their lives. They truly become their own person!
