0101 - Accommodation/Tenancy

Finding accommodation can be your most important goal. Whether you need a home that works with your disability, or you simply want more independence from your family, MyAdvancedCare understands this desire and will do everything in our power to get you, your own place to live and thrive.
Some of our clients can live in a place of their own, while others find that the best living situation is with another disabled person. Either way you’ll be free to live your own life and make your own decisions. That’s when you’ll find true freedom and independence.
We work with state and private agencies to find you the perfect place to live, and with utility providers that use grants that can lower costs. It’s all part of our mission, to have our clients experience full independence.
At MyAdvancedCare, we also help you prepare for your accommodation through skills learning that involve the basics of independent living. We’ll show you how to keep your place clean and basic gardening skills. You’ll learn how to do your own shopping, plan your own meals, and run other errands in your community.
We’ll even help you learn advanced skills like using public transport, going to the movies, and attending live events like concerts and sporting matches. Everything we do is geared toward living a fully independent life. The result is that you can feel the pride of being a truly independent person who doesn’t have to rely on anyone.
This all comes together when you receive your first set of keys and walk into your new accommodation. You’ll have a feeling of pride knowing you’ve done the hard work to come this far. We know you can do it – and we can show you how.
That feeling of freedom is priceless, and it’s all due to the NDIS funding and MyAdvancedCare working collaboratively as a well-oiled team. We enjoy each and every day as it allows us to give those who need a hand a helping hand. This action in our experience brings their lives into a much richer life for them and the others around them.
